Women Before WWI
Before WWI women were to sustain the "traditional female role". This mean that the women had to stay in the domestic sphere, otherwise known as staying home and doing the typical at home jobs. This included:
Many women did not work because they had to stay home and be a mother. But some women had any job that they could find in order to contribute to the family income. Women were not allowed to work at particular jobs like jobs in the government, because women weren't considered a person under the law, these jobs were left for men.
Women also did not have the right to vote because men did not feel the need to let women vote and men had the erroneous thought that they were more superior than women. They also thought that women had no place in politics because it wasn't in the kitchen.
- Cooking ( a meal was expected from the man of the house when he came home from a "long" day at work.

- Take the role as a motherly figure and take care of the children
