Women After WWI
After WWI women were more appreciated than before, but when the men returned home from war, the women started to loose their jobs because they weren't needed anymore. The men would take their positions and women would soon realize that they are equal to men and then protest this. This was a time period of the start of women's rights.
The suffrage movement had received the positive attention going in the females direction. It had been over a decade of campaigning until they had finally gotten the positive attention, but they got it. Partially. Only women over 30 were allowed to vote, whereas men over 21 had the right to vote, but it was the start of a movement. December 1918 the first female was elected to parliament in the General Election. Despite all the hard work the women put into the war, they were still expected to return back to their usual business at home. The end of WWI was the start of women's rights.
